Molybdenum plate is a metal plate mainly made of molybdenum.

Molybdenum is very hard and soft, with greater toughness than tungsten. Molybdenum has a high elastic modulus, while tungsten and tantalum only have high melting points. Molybdenum plates are used in many special steels. Other common uses include molybdenum electrodes, vacuum furnace applications, nuclear energy, missile and aircraft components.
